Overview
Isparta is Turkey's rose oil capital, producing roughly 25g of oil per 100kg of petals harvested May-June. The city was rebuilt after a 1914 earthquake, so it lacks an old quarter but offers a modern Turkish city experience with excellent carpet and ethnographic museums, traditional hamams, and access to ancient Sagalassos and lakeside Eğirdir.
