Iseo is a small lakeside town at the southeastern shore of Lake Iseo, positioned between two UNESCO attractions: Franciacorta's sparkling wine region and Val Camonica's prehistoric rock drawings. The town itself has a medieval Oldofredi Castle, lakeside lidos for summer swimming, and is the launch point for ferries to Monte Isola, Europe's highest lake island.
