Overview
Icod de los Vinos is a historic wine town in northwest Tenerife, established in 1501 and named after the indigenous Guanche kingdom of Icode and its vineyards. The town is world-famous for the Drago Milenario, a 600-800 year old dragon tree that is the largest and oldest known specimen of its species, standing 18 meters tall with a trunk diameter of about 10 meters.
