Overview
Hunstanton and its neighbour Old Hunstanton sit on Norfolk's western-facing coast, making them unusual among English east-coast resorts—the sun sets directly over the sea rather than inland. The town blends Victorian seaside traditions (amusement arcades, crazy golf, fish-and-chip shops) with natural drama: the striking Red & White Cliffs, a geological phenomenon stretching from the new town to the old village beach, attract fossil hunters and photographers alike.
