Despite being in Quebec, Hudson has a largely anglophone population, making English more useful here than in most of the province.

Transport
Hudson is accessed via Highway 40, about 60 km west of Montreal (45-minute drive). No train service; arrive by car. Main Road is walkable for exploring the town centre.
Weather
Best visited May through October. Summer for lakeside activities and festivals; October for spectacular fall foliage. Labour Day weekend features the annual sailboat regatta.
