Budget khanavalis serve authentic North Karnataka meals for ₹30-50. Don't miss Dharwad Peda, a famous sweet made from milk and khoa. Local staples include jowar rotti, badanikai palya, and red chilli chutney.
Money
ATMs are widely available throughout Hubli and Dharwad. Cash is preferred at local markets and small eateries. Credit cards are accepted at larger hotels and malls like Urban Oasis Mall, U Mall, and Big Bazaar on Gokul Road.
Transport
Hubli Junction railway station is a major South Western Railway hub with frequent trains to Bangalore, Goa, Mumbai, and South Indian cities. City buses run every 2 minutes between Hubli and Dharwad. Autorickshaw drivers often refuse meter fares—bargaining is essential.
