Overview
Hisarya is one of Bulgaria's oldest and most renowned balneotherapy resorts, centered around 22 mineral water springs (16 natural, 6 boreholes) with temperatures ranging from 24-49°C. Health
The mineral springs contain radon in low concentrations. Consult a doctor before therapeutic bathing if you have health concerns. Stay hydrated when visiting multiple springs.
Language
Bulgarian is the local language. English is limited outside hotels. Learning a few Bulgarian phrases enhances interactions with locals.
Money
Bulgaria uses the Bulgarian Lev (лв). ATMs available in town center. Most restaurants and hotels accept cards, but carry some cash for small purchases and springs.
