Overview
Hill End is a historic former gold-mining township in NSW's Central West region, largely deserted since the gold rush era ended but retaining much of its historical character. The site is managed by the National Parks Service with well-documented and signposted historical diggings and buildings.

Camping areas (Village and Glendora), B&B, cottage, and the Royal Hotel pub accommodation available. Limited food options; bring supplies from larger towns.
Activities
Gold panning available in the river; pans can be bought or hired. Museum open daily 10AM-3:30PM with extended holiday hours.
Safety
Avoid Bridle Track after dark or heavy rain due to large drops. Single-lane sections in last 20 km require careful navigation. Low Range 4WD recommended.
Transport
Access via Hill End Road from Bathurst (66 km) or Mudgee (72 km); fully paved highway. The Bridle Track 4WD route begins from Duramana, north of Bathurst.
