Overview
Helston is most famous for its Flora Day and Furry Dance celebrations on or around May 8th, when the town fills with locals and visitors for traditional dances through the streets. Even when not visiting for Flora Day, the town serves as an excellent gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, with easy access to picturesque fishing villages like Porthleven and unspoilt beaches at Gunwalloe, Poldhu, Mullion, and Kynance.
