Overview
Hartberg is a compact city of 6,700 people in Styria, Austria, best known for its proximity to the Gmoos, the last large moor in eastern Styria and a protected natural reserve since 1992. The town centre revolves around the Hauptplatz, a lively square with restaurants, bars, and historic buildings including the 12th-century Karner and a nicely refurbished town hall.
