Overview
Hämeenlinna is Finland's oldest inland city, founded in 1249, with a medieval red-brick castle that gives the city its name. Weather
Hämeenlinna has cold winters (December-February often below -10°C) and mild summers (June-August 15-25°C). Summer is best for outdoor activities; winter offers cross-country skiing in Aulanko and Ahvenisto areas.
