Overview
Gundabooka National Park is a 639-km² protected wilderness area in Northwestern New South Wales, about 52 km south of Bourke. Along with Sturt National Park and Narriearra Caryapundy Swamp National Park, it's one of the "real outback" parks.

Connectivity
No mobile phone coverage in the park area. Inform someone of your plans before entering remote outback areas.
Money
Park entry is free. All major expenses are accommodation and fuel. Cash may be needed at remote campsites.
Packing
Carry all supplies, fuel, water, and emergency equipment. No facilities exist between Bourke and Cobar. A first-aid kit and satellite communication device are strongly recommended for outback travel.
Safety
Outback hazards include extreme heat, lack of water sources, and remote isolation. Stay on marked tracks. Wildlife is present but not dangerous if respected.
Transport
A 4WD is essential — roads to the park interior are dirt. No public transport or tours available. Nearest fuel and supplies in Bourke (52 km north) or Cobar (114 km south).
