Diving
Scuba diving is best in summer but possible most seasons. Gordon's Bay has diving schools and sites suitable for all levels on rocky reefs. Offshore south-easterly winds often create ideal diving conditions.
Shopping
Basic daily goods available in town. Larger range at Strand and Somerset West. Somerset Mall is a 15-minute drive with supermarkets and boutiques. County Craft Market has over 200 stalls with handcrafted arts and crafts.
Transport
No direct public transport to Gordon's Bay; a car is essential for getting there and exploring nearby beaches, golf courses, and towns. Parking is available along the beachfront promenade.
Water
Bikini Beach and the main beach at Gordon's Bay offer safe and protected bathing. Melkbaai, Sunset Beach, and Kogel Bay offer more secluded options. Summer can be windy.
