Safety
Bring water, first aid, and weather gear on all walks. Roads have 50 km/h limits in streets, 100 km/h on highways.
Transport
Car or bicycle needed to access major sites. Wineglass Bay beach requires 3-hour hike or boat. Tours available from Hobart and Launceston.
Weather
Cool climate year-round with rapid weather changes. Thunderstorms can appear within minutes. Bring layers and rain gear—umbrellas are impractical due to wind.
