Overview
Fréjus is a coastal town in the French Riviera near Saint-Raphaël, founded as "Forum Julii" (market of Julius) during Julius Caesar's era. The city contains the richest concentration of Roman buildings in France after Arles, including an amphitheatre, aqueduct, and cathedral with Roman columns.
