Overview
Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park protects one of Tasmania's last truly wild temperate rainforests. The park forms part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area and is the second largest national park in Tasmania at 4,463.42 km².

Accommodation
No accommodation exists inside the park. Stay in Strahan or Queenstown, both within 1-2 hours drive.
Packing
Bring all food, water, and supplies. No shops exist within the park boundaries.
Safety
Tell someone your plans before entering backcountry areas. Mobile phone coverage is nonexistent in most of the park.
Transport
Rent a car to access trailheads along Lyell Highway. Public transport is not available to the park.
Weather
West Coast Tasmania receives high rainfall year-round. Pack waterproof gear regardless of season.
