Overview
Fengdu is a county in Chongqing Municipality with a county seat that is a river town on the banks of the Yangtze (Chang Jiang) River. The main draw is the Ghost Town on the opposite bank, an ancient Buddhist temple complex dedicated to afterlife mythology where visitors pass through the Ghost Gate on a journey to the underworld.
