Overview
Fabrica di Roma is a small medieval town 26 km from Viterbo, built largely from Viterbese peperino (grey volcanic tuff). The town grew around a castle documented in a Papal bull of 1177, and the area is notable for Etruscan and Faliscan necropoli.
