Connectivity
4G available from all carriers in town and along south coast roads. North coast has limited coverage; only Vodafone reaches Turan.
History
Ancient Cyzicus (Kyzikos) ruins are 5 km east, free to visit 24 hours. The site includes city walls, a temple to Hadrian, and an amphitheatre.
Money
Turkey uses Turkish Lira (TRY). Cards accepted at some hotels and restaurants, but carry cash for smaller establishments, markets, and minibuses.
Transport
Erdek is accessed via Bandırma (20 min by minibus). Ferries from Erdek connect to Marmara Islands and Tekirdağ. Around the peninsula, you'll need your own transport.
