Overview
Elmalı sees little tourism despite being the chief town of a district of 40,000 people. The town sits at 1100 m altitude in the Taurus Mountains, 35 km inland from the Lycian coast and 110 km west of Antalya.

Transport
Bus EA01 connects Elmalı with Antalya every 30-60 minutes, taking 2 hours via Korkuteli. The new bus station is 3 km from town.
Weather
The highland climate is cooler than the coast. Mountain nights are cold even in summer; sub-zero temperatures occur above 3000 m.
