Overview
El Vendrell is a split-personality Catalan city: the old town sits inland with narrow streets and historic museums, while Coma-Ruga stretches along the Costa Daurada with sandy beaches. It is most famous as the birthplace of Pablo Casals, the legendary cellist, and the town honors him with a museum, his childhood home, and the annual Pau Casals Festival each July.
