Overview
Edenderry (Éadan Doire, 'hill-brow of the oak wood') is a small town in east County Offaly with a population of 7,900 in 2022. The main draw is boating along the Grand Canal spur, a scenic 1.5-km waterway with a footpath along its east bank.

Transport
Go Ahead Bus 120 runs half-hourly from Dublin (2 hours, €15-20). Bus 120C connects Tullamore hourly. M4 motorway provides easy road access via Enfield.
