History
Easton hosted one of three public readings of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 1776. The city celebrates Heritage Day each July. Lafayette College, founded in 1826, adds historical character to the College Hill neighborhood.

Best seasons are late spring through early summer and autumn for mild weather. Summers are hot and humid; winters are cold with black ice hazards from November through April.
