Overview

Durmitor National Park is Montenegro's crown jewel of mountain wilderness, a UNESCO World Heritage Site protecting 39,000 hectares of dramatic limestone peaks, glacial lakes, and the deepest canyon in Europe. The park centers on the Durmitor mountain range with Babatov Kuk rising 2523m, and the Tara River Canyon carved through its eastern flank.
