Overview
Dunbar is a compact harbour town on East Lothian's coast, best known as the birthplace of John Muir, the conservationist who founded the US national parks system. The town has two historic harbours—Cromwell Harbour and Victoria Harbour—separated by a striking drawbridge that cuts through red sandstone cliffs above the ruined castle.
