Overview
Del Valle Regional Park is one of the largest parks in the East Bay Regional Park District, large enough to rival many California state parks despite being a regional park. The park surrounds Lake Del Valle, an artificial reservoir created in 1968 by damming Arroyo del Valle, offering scenery that ranges from oak woodlands to dramatic 300-foot cliffs.
