Transport
No commercial flights into Dawson Creek—use Fort St. John (YXJ) or Grande Prairie (YQU) airports. Bus service limited to weekdays on most routes. Car is the most practical way to arrive and explore.
Weather
Prairie continental climate: hot, dusty summers to 30°C with cool nights; bitterly cold winters to -30°C on 17-18 nights per year. Strong winds year-round. Best visit window is June through September.
