Monitor PHIVOLCS Taal Volcano alert levels. Level 3 = avoid non-essential travel; Level 4 = do not visit. Mount Maculot has high hiking accident rates.
Transport
Bus from Manila (Buendia/Cubao) to Lemery stops in Cuenca. Fares ₱178-196. Jeepneys run between Lipa and Lemery through town.
Weather
Hot and humid year-round. Best visited in cooler dry season (November to April). Rainy season from June to October.
