Overview
Costa Teguise is a purpose-built beach resort on Lanzarote's east coast, about 7 km east of Arrecife. Built in the 1970s through volcanic bedrock (the developer was Rio Tinto Explosives), it swells far beyond its 8949 permanent residents with budget package holidaymakers.

Beaches
Four main beaches: Grand Teguise Playa (main resort), Playa de las Cucharas (long sandy), Playa Bastian (family-friendly), Playa de los Charcos (quieter). Lava cliffs elsewhere are hazardous.

5G coverage from all Spanish carriers as of April 2025. E-scooters available via Superpedestrian app at €1 open plus €0.30/minute.
Diving
Year-round scuba diving with multiple operators including Daivoon, Aquatis, Native Diving. Two-tank dive typically around €95.

Euro currency (€). Major supermarkets accept cards. Cash available at bank ATMs near supermarket areas.
Nightlife
Strong British/Irish pub scene plus late-night clubs (Lively Lady, Nightclub 55, Jesters, Valhalla). Handicraft market Friday 17:00-22:00 at Pueblo Marinero.
Transport
Bus 3 runs every 20 minutes (hourly at night) between Arrecife and Costa Teguise in 20 minutes, continuing to Puerto del Carmen. Minimum bus fare is €1.40 in 2025.
