Overview

Cosenza is the elegant hilltop capital of Calabria's namesake province, sitting where the Crati River valley opens toward the Sila mountains. Unlike the region's beach-focused resorts, Cosenza rewards visitors with a compact historic centre (Centro Storico) of steep lanes, Romanesque churches, and Baroque palazzi.
