Overview
Cooma sits on the Snowy Mountains Highway as the main service town before the ski resorts, making it the last chance to eat cheaply and refuel heading north, and the first reasonable stop on the way back. It's significantly cheaper than Jindabyne for accommodation and food, though you won't see much snow here—Cooma is dry and cold, not snowy.
