Overview
Coamo is Puerto Rico's third-oldest city, distinguished by two major draws: the restorative Baños de Coamo hot springs discovered in 1847, and its compact historic pueblo centered around the 1661 Iglesia San Blas de Illescas, one of the island's most significant religious structures. The Spanish-style recreational plaza and perpendicular street grid offer an authentic colonial townscape unlike the more modern coastal resorts.
