Chomrong is the last major settlement before the Annapurna Sanctuary and a popular overnight stop on the Annapurna trek. The village sits on a hillside with panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the distinctive fishtail peak of Machupachare.

Nepalese rupees are accepted everywhere. Bring enough cash as there are no ATMs in this mountain village. Some lodges may accept payment in USD or EUR for accommodation.
Packing
Bring water purification tablets or a filter bottle. Cash for lodge payments. Warm layers for cold mornings and evenings.
Transport
Chomrong is only accessible on foot. No roads or vehicles reach the village. Trek 4-6 hours from Nayapul trailhead or 4 hours from Gandruk.
Weather
Mountain weather is unpredictable. Even in dry season, mornings can be cold. Bring layers and rain gear for any season.
