Overview
Çavdarhisar exists for one reason: the remarkably preserved Roman ruins of Aizanoi, one of Anatolia's most complete ancient sites. The Temple of Zeus, Roman baths, stadium, and macellum (market hall) are all walkable from the village, connected by yellow-arrow waymarked trails with Turkish, English, and German signage.
