Overview
Castellón de la Plana is a laid-back coastal city of 171,000 people on Spain's Costa del Azahar, positioned roughly halfway between Barcelona and Valencia. It offers a historic center with Gothic churches, a working port at Grau, orange orchards in the surrounding province, and pleasant Mediterranean weather without the crowds of major tourist destinations.
