Overview
Carndonagh is the largest settlement in the north of the Inishowen Peninsula, serving as a practical base for exploring Ireland's northernmost mainland point at Malin Head. The town itself is modest with fewer than 2800 residents, but it offers access to ancient monuments including the 7th-century Donagh Cross and the ruins of Carrickabraghy Castle.
