Carmen Public Market (northwest wing) is the budget food hub with local dishes from 30-50 pesos. K Mart is the best-stocked convenience store on the main road.
Money
No money changers in Carmen town. Withdraw cash at ATMs in Tagbilaran before heading to Carmen, or use the public market vendors who may accept GCash for purchases.
Transport
Buses to/from Tagbilaran run frequently (65 pesos non-aircon). Tricycles are the main local transport for getting around Carmen town and reaching nearby attractions.
Weather
Mountain air keeps Carmen cooler (21-26°C) than coastal Bohol. Best visited November-May for dry conditions; June-October brings rain but also greener hills.
