Overview
Cape Cod National Seashore stretches over 43,500 acres (176 km²) of dunes, ponds, woods and almost 40 miles (64 km) of Atlantic shoreline. It is located on Cape Cod, principally in the towns of Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, and Eastham, but also covers some shoreline in Orleans and Chatham.

Wheelchair-accessible beach access ramp at Coast Guard Beach.
Accommodation
No lodging inside park; camping allowed in self-contained vehicles only. Cottages and B&Bs in nearby towns.
Etiquette
Beach fires allowed with free permit; call or pick up in person.
Food
Limited food inside park: Herring Cove Snack Bar (cash only, $8-16) and Highland Links clubhouse. Beachcomber in Cahoon Hollow.
Money
Daily entrance fee: $20 per vehicle, $10 motorcycle, $3 pedestrian/cyclist. Annual pass $60. Fees collected at swimming beaches in summer.
Safety
Rip currents, ticks, poison ivy, and narrow roads are hazards. Swim in guarded areas and avoid tall grass.
Transport
Car recommended. The Flex bus and Cape Cod Rail Trail available. Buses from Boston.
Water
Swimming at lifeguarded beaches; rip currents dangerous.
Weather
Summer temperatures 70-80°F, cool nights. Winter 30-40°F but wind chill. Spring and autumn cool and damp/drier.
