Mobile coverage is available along the coast and main towns. WiFi is common in cafes and resorts in Palolem.
Money
Most beach shacks and small restaurants are cash-only. ATMs available in Chaudi and Palolem. Karwar offers very affordable fresh seafood.
Safety
Avoid drugs and raves. Gaur (Indian Bison) may be on roads. Crime against tourists occurs occasionally, more in northern Goa.
Transport
Public buses are infrequent outside NH-66. Rent a scooter or arrange own transport to reach beaches like Palolem, Agonda, and Cabo de Rama.
Weather
Best visited October-March. Summer months can be extremely hot. The strawberry season around winter brings seasonal menu items.
