Overview
Camiguin is a small island province off the northern coast of Mindanao in the Philippines. It is definitely off the beaten track for travelers, but it is a real gem with volcanic landscapes, hot springs, waterfalls, and white-sand beaches.

The main local language is Cebuano (Bisaya). The native Kamigin language has been largely displaced and is spoken mostly at home.

PNB Bank on Aranas Street in Mambajao has a 24-hour Visa card ATM. Salcedo Supermarket and Gaisano Mall also provide banking services.
Safety
The island is described as extremely safe compared to neighboring islands. Standard travel precautions still apply.
