Overview

Calasiao is a municipality of 100,000 people in Pangasinan province, known as the "white gold" capital of the Philippines for its famous puto rice cakes. The town has rich farmlands planted with rice, coconuts, and mangoes, plus fishponds raising bangus (milkfish), pantat (catfish), and tilapia.
