Busuanga is the largest island in the Calamian archipelago and the closest point in Palawan to Manila. The island draws divers worldwide to its exceptional World War II Japanese shipwrecks that lie in shallow, accessible waters.

Diving

Busuanga is one of Asia's best wreck diving destinations with Japanese WWII ships in shallow water, accessible even to snorkelers. Multiple PADI-certified dive shops operate in Coron.

Money

Local currency is Philippine Peso (PHP). ATMs available in Coron town. Cash preferred for boat rentals and small establishments.

Transport

Francisco B. Reyes Airport has daily flights from Manila (1 hour). Airport transfers to Coron town cost PHP 150 by van. Tricycles within Coron are cheap and readily available.

Weather

Best visited November to May during the dry season. Peak diving October-June. Monsoon season July-September may disrupt boat trips.
