Overview
Bunratty is a pocket-sized village (population 288 in 2022) whose entire reason for being is Bunratty Castle, built 1425 and the most complete medieval fortress in Ireland. The adjacent folk park, a skansen with over 30 relocated historic buildings, and nightly medieval banquets draw visitors year-round.
