Overview
Buchan is a town of just over 300 people that would typically be passed over by tourists, but its main attraction is extraordinary: a limestone cave system stretching for kilometres underground, formed 400 million years ago by underground rivers. The Snowy River country setting offers a quieter, more laid-back experience than Victoria's busier destinations, making it ideal for backpackers seeking nature without crowds.
