Overview
Brienz is a small village of roughly 3000 residents at the quieter end of Brienzersee, opposite the busy resort of Interlaken. It is Switzerland's recognized center for woodcarving, with shops and a museum dedicated to the craft, and its lakeside setting offers spectacular blue waters framed by the surrounding Alps.
