Overview
Braulio Carrillo is one of the largest national parks in Costa Rica, covering 50,000 hectares (108,000 acres) of protected rainforest. Unlike more accessible parks, it offers backcountry trails leading deep into the jungle, with some local guides offering 3- and 4-day backpacking trips.
