Boyabat is a small Turkish town of 29,093 people in the Western Karadeniz region, perched in the Gökırmak River gorge. Its main draw is the clifftop Boyabat Castle, which has guarded the valley routes since ancient times.

Transport
The bus terminal is east of town on D030 highway. All long-distance buses from Istanbul and Ankara arrive here before continuing to Sinop. Metro Turizm and Flixbus operate routes.
