Overview
Bonifacio is a city at the south tip of Corsica with a spectacular location on white limestone cliffs sculpted by the sea. The city is split between the Port, with marina and restaurants, and the Citadel (Haute Ville), a walled old town with alleyways and historic sites.

The Genoa Gate is the main entrance to the citadel, with an 1830s drawbridge.

Le Petit Train runs every 30 min April–Oct, €5 flat fare from the marina to the citadel.
