Overview
Bobcaygeon is a village of about 3,600 people built on three islands at the junction of Pigeon and Sturgeon Lakes. It holds a unique place in Canadian pop culture: The Tragically Hip's 1998 hit single "Bobcaygeon" made the town famous coast-to-coast.

Bobcaygeon is a regional shopping destination for shoes, clothing, and specialty items, primarily on Bolton Street and Canal Street.
Transport
Bobcaygeon is accessed by car via Highway 4 and County Road 24. The town is walkable—most shops and attractions are on Bolton Street within a 5–10 minute walk. Parking is limited; swing-bridge openings can cause traffic delays.
Water
Blue-green algae blooms occur in late summer and early fall. Avoid swimming, wading, or drinking lake water when blooms are present. Poison ivy is common in wooded areas.
