Overview
Blanc-Sablon is the easternmost municipality of Quebec, a remote fishing community where the Strait of Belle Isle meets the Atlantic. The main draws are whale and dolphin watching, drifting icebergs visible in season, and access to the Trans-Labrador Highway via Route 510.

Before you go
Money
CAD accepted everywhere. No ATMs in the village—carry sufficient cash from larger North Shore towns like Sept-Îles before arriving.
Transport
Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon Airport (YBX) has PAL Airlines flights from Sept-Îles and Labrador. Route 138 has gaps—check road conditions before driving west from Blanc-Sablon.
Weather
Remote location means limited services in shoulder seasons. Summer offers mild temperatures and best wildlife viewing; winters are harsh with snowmobile season.
